1st Grade Back to School Reading and Math Centers

Happy day, friends!

Life on the sandy shores is great. The weather has been wonderful *knock on wood* and my day consists of sleeping, eating delicious food, taking walks on the beach, reading by the pool, napping, and porch sitting….it’s the life. 🙂

With such a busy schedule, I wanted to share with you the packs I just finished up: 1st Grade Back to School Math and Literacy Centers-woohoo! A dear friend gave me a list of skills she wants to practice with her firsties in the first couple of weeks. I am a bit nostalgic about 1st grade and was thrilled to create It’s Time to Learn: 12 Math and Literacy Centers!

The 6 literacy centers are all hands-on and easy prep. They are perfect for introducing and practicing sight words, capitalization and punctuation, initial blends, abc order, rhyming words, and short vowels (‘a’ and ‘i’).

And, the 6 math centers are great for introducing math centers to beginning learners. I have tried something new and added an anchor chart to each center that introduces/practices the skill the center focuses on. That way, sweet firsties have a visual to refer back to! With these centers, our friends will practice sums up to 10, before and after, number bonds, representing numbers, writing addition sentences, and fact families.

You can check these packs out at my TPT store, here. They are available individually (math or literacy) or as a money-saving bundle, here!

Well, friends, my James Patterson novel
is calling, so I have got to go. Enjoy your last few weeks of summer. 🙂
