Description
Encourage thoughtful independent reading with our Reading Response Letters for both literary and informational texts! These letters guide students in reflecting on what they read, enhancing reading comprehension and critical thinking. Perfect for classroom assignments and developing deeper engagement with texts.
Writing back and forth, I formed a special ‘reading bond’ with my students. From these letters, I knew their likes, dislikes, struggles, and tendencies as readers. I was able to recommend certain books for them, help them identify their ‘just-right’ book level, and I could encourage them to think more deeply about the text they were reading.

Seriously a Happy Day in 5th Grade –
My students need a lot of guided practice this year. This resource helped to practice letter writing as well as responding to our reading. Students are doing well on their weekly letters, I refer to this resource often for those that still need support.
