2014 in Review

As the Christmas-season is coming to an end, I am so excited for an amazing 2015! Tonight I just wanted to share some of the highlights – determined by views – of my corner of cyberspace. 😉
This 5th most-visited blog post this year was all about point of view and the different ways we reviewed and practiced. With lots of links to websites, videos, and anchor charts, you can check out this post here.
Last Winter, I put together a post with oodles of Greek and Latin Root resources. From weekly words to online games to rap songs, I tried to integrate roots into our weekly schedule as much as possible.

As one of my first Bright Ideas blog posts, I shared about optimizing the using of new vocabulary with 7-Up sentences. Even in 1st, we write these bumped-up sentences! Check out this simple, but powerful, tool here!

By last April, I was *tired* of test-prep passages and traditional review games, so we used GoNoodle to switch-up our practice. Check out how I used everybody’s favorite – “Let it Go”- to review theme in literature!

Last year, I *always* struggled finding high-quality nonfiction articles for my 5th graders to read and work with. Last year I blogged about my favorite 3 online resources and how I used them in my classroom.

There you go – the 5 most visited blog posts of the year! If you have ideas for future blog posts, questions, or things you would like to see, please let me know! I am always looking for ideas. 🙂

Well friends, it’s been a wonderful year! Thank you so much for your friendship, inspiration, and support. I have been SO blessed by the blogger community and look forward to another amazing year together.

I know generally what the Bright Idea link-up is, but each time I see it, I'm curious – is it something that a set group of teachers do or is anyone able to link up? I always wonder.
