Character Traits & Synonyms Subway Art

Happy Thursday, Friends! Today I’m blogging live from Las Vegas, as I join over 1,000 other sellers from the Teachers Pay Teachers community. On Tuesday I presented for SDE on Writing Strategies for littles, and today I’m sharing all about technology! The past week, I have learned so much and met/reunited with some many fabulous people.
Teachers Pay Teachers is truly an amazing organization. Yes, it’s given us amazing access to thousands of classrooms and resources just by searching cyber space. Yes, it has provided many of us with some super fun extra income that makes life a little easier. However, the resources and the money aren’t the best things that have come out of TPT.  In reality, it’s the amazing people I have met and the relationships I have built through this organization which are the most fabulous blessings.

To celebrate my recent TpT Milestone, I’m offering my newest set of Classroom Subway Art for FREE from July 5th – July 12th. This set of posters is all about character traits and synonyms for turning those ‘boring’ words into juicy ones. After July 12th, these posters will return to their original price, so make sure to snag them now! 🙂
My Subway Art series started two years ago when looking for modern and fun ways to set-up my 5th grade classroom (without looking too babyish). 5th graders so desperately wanted to be treated like ‘BIG’ kids, so the classroom needed to match. We loved having our Genre Posters over our classroom library.

There are 11 posters included in this set with posters for each Comprehension Strategy(Ask Questions, Clarify Vocabulary, Determine Importance, Evaluate, Infer, Make Connections, Metacognition, Predict, Retell, Summarize, and Visualize).

And, my favorite of the three (am I allowed to have favorites?), are the We Believe Statements – a positive approach to classroom rules and expectations. (Photo credit to Krystina’s 4th grade classroom in New York)

Primary friends – please don’t feel left out! Make sure to snag these forever-free personalized bookmarks for your friends. They make the perfect Welcome-to-our-Classroom gift!
