Comparing Numbers using Place Value

Hi friends!

I am so excited to share with you a project a whole slew of
bloggers and clip artists have been working on led by the lovely Stephany Dillion at Primary
Possibilities
.
Several fabulous
clipartists and bloggers have come together for an amazing Clipart Challenge
hosted by Primary Possibilities!  Each blogger is featuring a clipartist
and a product they made using that artist’s images!  This is a great way
to discover new clipart creators for your summer creations.   So keep
reading and following the linky at the bottom to head on to the next
post!  You may even pick up some freebies along the way!
For this awesome challenge, I was paired with
the super fun and ever flamboyant Cara Taylor! She was such a blessing to work with, and fantastic at doing ‘custom’ edits. Within 24 hours, Cara added a few bits and pieces to the pack for me. I {LOVE} how friendly and willing she was to help! ๐Ÿ™‚

When I found out that we were partnered, I was all
about grabbing her Alligator
Family Greater Than/Less Than
 set.
If didnโ€™t already know, I {LOVE} math centers, so these precious reptiles were
just the ticket.

Cara added so much character to her gators it
just makes me giggle. They are ridiculously silly, and I know first-grade
friends will love them AND have no idea they are knocking out that Common Core
skill of comparing numbers using symbols (<, >, =).
Having the variety of gators was just perfect
for creating some fun Spin a Gator centers where students have the chance to
practice using the gators (symbols) to create true math statements. Plus, what
1st grader does not like a Chomp-the-Room? Any excuse to be out
of our seats is a good one, right?!? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Also, did you notice the cute fonts in
this pack? These are hilariously titled fonts from Caraโ€™s collection. She was
uber generous and sent me all 5 sets of her fonts. The styles are so varied,
yet easy for students to read. Each set is title โ€œKids
Say the Darndest Things
โ€ and Cara is right. From โ€œWhat
Day is Gym
?โ€ to โ€œHe
Hit Me!
โ€, itโ€™s the music to our everyday lives! ๐Ÿ™‚

Make sure to check Caraโ€™s awesome work out and
grab a few freebies along the way! You can find Cara Clipโ€™s here,
follow her on Facebook, and check out her
boards on Pinterest! Below are some of my favorite packs that Cara has make sure to check them out. ๐Ÿ™‚

With all of the great art Cara provided, this is the final product: 3 math centers, a flip book, and some independent practice printables! I will leave the pack – It’s Chompin’ Time – on sale through the weekend.

Thank you, Cara for being SO generous. I loved working with you and your precious gators. ๐Ÿ™‚
